Yes, in the game world anyway. What’s the curse? Gamescore glitch! So far I think there are only 2 games based on movies which Jolie starred in: Tomb Raider and Wanted. I played both games and I stuck with one last GS glitch that drove me nuts. Instead of the perfect 1000/1000 GS, I’m stuck with 975/1000. I can’t stand it. I hate GS glitches because it is an annoying and frustrating things to keep replaying to get the points but nothing in the end.GRAAHHH!! Angie, I love you but I hate GS glitch! *flip table*
Thanks for taking the words right out of my mouth
Joe Rosberg posted an article on TechRepublic and I want to thank him when he took the words right out of my mouth. So Joe, you’ re not alone
Here is the section that I think it is so me. Quote: “I’ll admit my bias. I just don’t like any of the Internet’s social networking sites. I don’t want to be Face Booked or My Spaced, and I don’t want to be Twittered or Tagged. I want my former Classmates to remain part of my past, and I don’t want any future Adult Friends to be found for me. I guess I just don’t want to be Linked-In, regardless of who invites me, legitimate or not.
One might think that out of the hundreds of social networking sites out there, that just one of them might appeal to me. Nope, not one of them. If that makes me old school, then so be it. I do find it interesting, however, that at one time (not too long ago), I was considered a person on the leading edge of Internet technology. Has it really been around long enough for me to be an Internet old fogie?” Here is the link to the full article titled “Another social networking site harvesting e-mail addresses“.
Updates on my Gamerscore and race. Since it is a nice even number, I decided to capture it before it changes.
![35500GS [15-Jun-09] 35500GS [15-Jun-09]](http://www.tanaka-futaba.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2009/06/35500gs-15-jun-09.jpg)
I am ranked 81 on my race. Hmm… with GS accumulating every week, my rank is actually dropping. I suspect either many gamers put some good scores or some high score gamers from other countries simply choose Singapore (fewer total gamers) as their “country” so that they can “rank higher”.
To emphasis why I will not like Wii, I have to quote IndustryGamers interview with Ubisoft Producer Ben Mattes on why not bring Prince of Persia to the ultimate casual console: The Wii? (I am underlining the reasons here)
“Mattes said that the system just couldn’t handle what his team wanted to achieve, saying “the AI of Elika was highly advanced and required a lot of processing power; the world size and dynamic loading, the draw distance, the number of polygons in the characters… If we had done a Wii version, it would have been toned down, probably linear, it wouldn’t have been an open-world game, and so it would have been a very different experience. We didn’t want to water it down that way.”
Again, I am a serious gamer and I want to see and hear everything dolby or better. I need a close to real life precision in control, not the almost real with Wii’s remote. Also Wii will be incapable of producing games like Halo, Mass Effect, Assassin Creed, etc. Yes, Wii is a fun console with fun game for family. Maybe the only Wii I’ll get is Wii Fit to help me get fitter while playing other consoles. Ok, ok, so the new Metroid does appeal to me a bit.
E3 Press Conferences winner? Microsoft I say!
I watched all 3 E3 2009 Press Conferences. One stands out as the big winner… Microsoft XBox 360. I watched in this order: Microsoft, Sony, Nintendo. I like how Microsoft got into the game (no pun intended) right away, no talked about figures. It was very engaging. Then comes Sony, bla bla bla… too many talks about figures. Boring. And last Nintendo… I thought I am watching the last year E3, all the same games and same characters, all sequels, so what’s new this year? The preview also not engaging and mostly were for DS games. Well, I can understand because Nintendo sells more DS than Wii. But I don’t own DS, so boring…!
I am a serious fingers movement gamer not the (oh, so fun) body movement gamer, so after watching the press conferences, I am still sure I will not get Wii or Xbox Natal (even though I feel it really is out of this world).
Go Microsoft!
I believe you all know the book/movie “Ring” by Koji Suzuki. Yes, I scared shitless at the end watching the Japanese version. So, you literally scared shitless now (really, literally) when you read Suzuki’s new horror story “Spot” on toilet paper.
