I finished Haruki Murakami’s latest novel “After Dark”. It is a strange coincidence that as a jazz/classical listener, Murakami mentioned Suga Shikao (my fav J-Pop singer) in his novel Yes, there has been many coincidences happened to me, neutral ones, no good or bad results. But, it’s too weird to describe it here.

I am reading 2 books simultaneously. At home, I read Harry Potter’s “Order of Phoenix” and on the move, I read Miyabe Miyuki “Crossfire”. Crossfire is a fast pace detective story. I enjoy it in the very beginning and I hope to like the rest of it. Miyabe sensei also is the creator of the anime “Brave Story”. Haven’t watched it yet, but heard about it. Will watch it when I have the chance.

Evangelion: 1.0 You Are (Not) Alone

Watched “Evangelion: 1.0 You Are (Not) Alone” movie last weekend. It’s remake, readd, retold, recap movie for the infamous Evanglion TV series. This is the first movie of the trilogy. *Spoiler* This first movie retell the story before Asuka shows up. Most of the scenes are straight from the TV series but with added CG and few new clips. The “angels” also have many CGs make-up added. For those who never watched Evangelion before may find it hard to understand… well, frankly, even those who had watched the complete TV series also still find it hard to understand. The movies are supposed to tell everything, but we’ll have to wait for long before they complete.

Watching the evas, a nostalgic feeling overwhelmed me, as during that time, I am also sucked into the Eva phenomenon. While watching the evas in action, I really wanted to dig up my High-grade Eva models out and put it on display

Lots of “two” going on

There are many “two” references recently in my gaming department. First “two”, finished “Army of Two” last week. Not a bad game, but slightly too short. Also finished “The Orange Box’s” Half Life 2 just before that. And after that another complete game ”Frontlines: Fuel of War”. Again, not a bad game but way way way too short man!  Ok… that’s a wrap up for last week. Right now, I am replaying “Bioshock” for a 2nd time. And next week? Rainbow’s Six Las Vegas 2!!!
