Anime Festival Asia ’08

I went to the Anime Festival Asia 2008 last weekend. My impression? First the good one, I am impressed and glad that there are actually anime related events here in Singapore. But it is an event that can be completed in half a day time. Unlike the Anime Expo in the US, you need at LEAST 2 days to view, touch and hear those main events. Having said that, I still appreciate their effort, and my suggestion for the next one is to open with a BANG!

This event is more like model and figurine event, because the majority of the items for display and sale are models related products. I am not a model collector, so it is slightly dissapointment for me. How jealous I am with those model collectors

But I did manage to get shitajiki and trading cards… boy, it’s been a while since I add anything to my collections. I bought Code Geass 1 & 2, Gundam Seed and Death Note trading cards. I also bought Lucky Star and Vampire Knight shitajiki.

In summary, I wish it is a much bigger events with more shows, Japan guests and seiyuu.
