Next year AFA will be suck

My next visit to AFA’09 will be halfhearted
Few days ago, I post about AFA’08 and I wish that they will make it bigger, in my own words, bigger BANG. I guess they agree with the BANG part, and according to this news, they want to combine both Anime Festival Asia and Singapore Toy and Comic Convention for the next event. I quote them: ”may be merged into one big event next year because of the overlap in target audience”. HELLO!!??? Is this your idea of making something bigger? by combining 2 not-so-closely-related products? These 2 events have different audience, one is Japan’s anime related and the other is Western’s comic. Superman vs Ranma? Batman vs Luffy? Even the toys are different, Gundam vs Spawn? 

I went to the Toy and Comic Convention last June and left in 30 min. There is no single anime product there, hence I was not interested at all. I am so much dissappointed with their decission. I would rather have half-day ALL anime event than 3-day “rojak” event.
