THQ cuts too, Guitar Heroes Guiness hero, 3rd Challenge starts

My previous posts showed various articles of gaming industry cut losses, joining the recession affected bandwagon. Today, it is THQ’s turn to cut 600 jobs.

Who says you can’t be famous if you are a videogamer? Fourteen year old Danny Johnson reclaimed the Guinness World Record for the “Highest Score for a Single Song on Guitar Hero® III: Legends of Rock” with an astounding score of 973,954 points (which is 99% completion rate) on Expert Level for the song “Through the Fire and Flames” by DragonForce. For those who don’t know, this song is the most difficult piece to play so far.

My third 360Voice Challenge started yesterday. There are 222 participants, and I’m wetting my pants when 2 already gained 1,345 points in such a short period of time.
